NOIDA: In an interesting twist in BA student abduction case in Sector 39 police station area, the Noida police on Thursday noticed the girl, while scanning the CCTV footages of Botanic Garden and City Center metro stations. The victim’s family claimed that she was allegedly abducted in front of her brother in Noida on Tuesday morning outside government college.
TOI has accessed the CCTV footages, in which the girl is visible. CCTV footages were of Tuesday morning. The family had claimed that she was pulled in a car by abductors. The victim’s family had blamed police of inaction into the matter.
Superintendent of police Dinesh Yadav said that during the course of investigation, the police had scanned all CCTV footages of all possible areas. “We had also sought CCTV footages of Noida metro stations. While scanning the footages, we noticed girl’s movement in City Center and Botanic Garden metro station on Tuesday morning,” Yadav said.
Explaining the details of CCTV footages, Yadav said, “Girl was visible at City Center metro station at 6.55am on Tuesday morning and at 7.05am, she was visible at Botanic Garden metro station. She even made a call to key suspect at 7.09am,” he added.
In the CCTV footages, girl bought metro token from City Center metro station and boarded the train for Botanic Garden. The police will question, her friends to gain some lead into the matter. “There is a strong possibility that her friends know about the incident. We will question them to gain some lead. We are hopeful to crack the case soon,” a senior police officer added.
One Gejha-based resident Raj Kumar had lodged a complaint with Sector 39 police station that his 18-year-old daughter Neelam was abducted on Tuesday morning at 7am by three people from outside a government college in Sector 39 police station area. The family alleged police inaction into the matter.
